Ms. Caviness grew up in Southern Oregon. In Junior High and on into High School she was very active writing articles in the school papers focusing on fashion and music. Also, she booked many bands from Portland for school dances. Literally picking up the phone book one day in a Journalism Class to locate a band for the PROM. Looking back, her passion was music and surfaced years later when GC PRODUCTIONS was founded. She now resides in Lake Oswego, Oregon (Portland Metro area) where she has been described as ”the Northwest’s hardest working booking agent and music promoter.” Her roster of bands includes an eclectic mix of genres. Serious Artists have contracted with Ms. Caviness as she provides strong connections supporting local, regional, and national acts, while embracing “famous to almost famous” musical Artists. Among national acts, Ms. Caviness has been part of welcoming BB KING to the Pacific Northwest during the summer of 2008. To date her most cherished event! |
GC PRODUCTIONS was founded and created for a passion of music and a gift for a sales based career in 2004. Providing 30+ previous years in Sales and the world of Hi-Tech, she focused her years of seasoned sales experience, her presence and support of her passion to ….. Music! When the words wouldn't’t come, the music was always there in melody, supporting her soul. Her vigilance and integrity with musicians across the USA have enabled her to thrive in the world of music promotions with loyalty.
She connects with the artistic side of the music and genuinely portrays commitment to each one of her clients. Her icon of music is Eric Clapton whom she has followed for 35+ years and has attributed to her exceptional knowledge of music, the instruments and the message. Her first concert at an early age was at the now famous Memorial Coliseum where she saw the BEATLES in August 1965, the British Invasion was embraced and the rest is history. She has exceptional editorial skills as music editor/contributing writer for several music industry publications. Simply put, “she gets music”.

Her commitment to local organizations for charity and awareness includes OUTSIDE IN, a teen homeless shelter located in Portland, OR. www.outsidein.org. April 2008 she hosted a CONCERT of HOPE to support the cause and awareness of this most precious charity which she mirrored after a recommendation for the BB KING event held annually in San Diego, CA. Additionally, she collected donations for the City Of Vernonia during their flash flood crisis in 2007 and continues to support Brain Cancer Awareness in support of the loss of her beloved sister Robin F. Dowd.
